Frequently asked questions

How long are parties?

2 hours

How far in advance should I book a party?

Typically 1-4 months in advance to secure your preferred date and time. The latest we'll take bookings is 2 weeks in advance of the party date.

Do parents stay or drop off?

The birthday family must have one parent present at the party. Guests' parents may stay at Dream Scene, but are encouraged to drop off. There's great shopping nearby!

How much do I tip the hosts?

Our Hosts work hard to ensure the party runs smoothly while also making your Birthday Girl feel special. Gratuity of about $20 per Host is greatly appreciated. Gratuity may be in cash or sent to Hosts' Venmo accounts. Typically 3-5 Hosts are working a party.

Do we open presents during the party?

Our parties are jam packed with fun, that there typically isn't time to open presents. If this is important to you, we can make it work! This decision can be made on the day of the party, and can also be flexible.

Is there anything I need to bring to the party?

For birthday families, not a thing! If you would like to bring in your own candles, plates, napkins, and plasticware for dessert you may. Otherwise, we have supplies.

For guests, follow any instructions on the invitation if there is a themed dress attire.

When should the birthday family arrive?

5 minutes prior to party start time. We will most likely be cleaning up from a previous party as well as setting up for yours, so no need to arrive any earlier.

Is it okay if more guests arrive than expected?

Absolutely! The final balance will be calculated at the end of the party when all guests are counted. You will pay a minimum for the number of guests you RSVP’d with the week prior to the party. Any number over that amount is $35 per guest.

Can I extend the length of the party?

If your party is over 30 guests and is the last party of the day, we can discuss extending the length to 2.5 hours with an additional cost.

Are you able to accommodate kids with special needs?

Dream Scene is for ALL kids. Our owner is an experienced elementary school teacher who has worked with kids with a variety of special needs. Our team is also First Aid and CPR certified. If there is a specific concern, please call and we will make the appropriate accommodations.

Is the food Kosher?
